About the Opportunity

The Physiotherapist plays a vital role in our Rehabilitation Services team, working in a tertiary care setting to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.

As a Physiotherapist, you will develop holistic treatment programs using exercises, education, and manual, mechanical, electrical, and hydrotherapy techniques to assist patients in regaining and/or maintaining optimal function.

You will work collaboratively with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers to promote health, provide physiotherapy treatment, and manage patient care.

This role also involves supervising physiotherapy students and assistants, as well as participating in the evaluation of team effectiveness and solving problems.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapist with a Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university.

Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists is required, as well as computer skills, annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification, and WHMIS training and certification.

Additional courses or education in specialized areas or practice, such as cardio-respiratory techniques, acupuncture, stroke rehabilitation, manual therapy, balance training, etc., are an asset.

Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are also an asset.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with 100% hours per week and 75 hours bi-weekly.

The hourly rate is $44.39, and successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
