Job Description
Reporting to the Master Scheduler the primary purpose of this position is to provide scheduling and general clerical support.

Job Qualifications:

" Graduation from High School or equivalency, supplemented by a recognized 2-year secretarial science or 2-year office administration Diploma.
" Two years related experience including word processing, advanced levels in Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheets, Meditech and ability to become skilled at new software.
" Office Management experience, good organizational/time management skills and ability to work independently.
" Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
" The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory Certificate of Conduct.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

" Preparation and completion of schedules for staff.
" Coordinates and schedules temporary staff.
" Assesses all staff leave requests and follow-up replacement.
" Replaces staff members for unplanned leave.
" Ensures adequate staff are available.
" Inputs payroll accurately on a bi-weekly basis and reviews the payroll entries with the appropriate Manager before the payroll is submitted to the Finance department for processing.
" Work with computer programs related to staff scheduling.
" Reviews schedules thoroughly for accuracy of changes made on the schedules.
" Updates the daily overtime roster to ensure equity of distribution of overtime among qualified staff.
" Demonstrates good working knowledge of the applicable collective agreements relating to scheduling.
" Inputting workload stats and other data as required.
" Completes general clerical duties.
" Ensures staff follow terms/conditions of the applicable collective agreements, i.e. reporting shift refusals.
" Ensure attendance management program is followed.
" Other clerical duties as required.

Hours of Work:
" 75 hours Bi-weekly.
