Staff pharmacist - London ON - Healthcare

We are supporting a client pharmacy in the London, ON area with their search for an Staff Pharmacist who will join a well-established pharmacy team and will focus on the delivery of patient care and service to long term/residential care patients.

This is a fast-paced pharmacy with lots of healthcare professional overlap.

Shift times are scheduled in advance and involve 8-hour shifts in the range of Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm.

There are rotation weekend shifts (1 on 4) required for this role and occasional on-call for support.

Annual compensation range is provided as our estimate - the hiring manager will discuss compensation in actual terms with successful candidates and the actual pay rate will be based on the successful individual's credentials and related experience for the role with our client pharmacy.

Responsibilities
Staff pharmacist - London ON - Healthcare

Perform therapeutic evaluation of physician orders to ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize resident care plans, providing expert pharmaceutical guidance.
Conduct medication reconciliation for new residents or those returning from hospital stays, ensuring accuracy and continuity of care.
Focus on clinical evaluation of orders, applying pharmaceutical expertise to assess appropriateness, interactions, and potential adverse effects.

Provide support and guidance to pharmacy support staff and registered pharmacy technicians in the filling and dispensing of medication orders, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards.

Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards in pharmacy practice, ensuring patient confidentiality and safety at all times.

Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with College of Pharmacy in BC
