About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our national training and education program. As the Manager, Training and Education Program Development, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training program that aligns with our mission to reduce food waste and ensure food security across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement a national training and education program that focuses on food literacy, food safety, and food loss and waste reduction.
  • Content Creation: Create educational content and certification programs for various audiences, including youth, school groups, and non-profit organizations.
  • Training Delivery: Deliver high-impact training sessions on food safety, literacy, and waste prevention, both in-person and virtually.
  • Partnerships and Revenue Generation: Build partnerships and generate revenue through training initiatives, and foster collaborative efforts across departments.
  • Grant Management: Serve as the primary contact for Training and Education grants, ensuring all deliverables are met and program goals are achieved.
  • Program Evaluation: Track and analyze program data to ensure continuous improvement and innovation within the Training and Education Program.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the program's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and alignment with organizational priorities.
Requirements
  • Education and Training Experience: Experience in delivering educational programs and training, ideally within the food sector. Experience in curriculum development and working with Canadian school boards is a strong asset.
  • Communication and Leadership Skills: Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to connect with diverse audiences and convey important information clearly. Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead teams, foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Analytical and Organizational Skills: Ability to leverage data and insights to drive decision-making and continuously enhance the program's impact. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage complex projects and ensure that every detail contributes to success.
