Job Summary:

This role is responsible for providing primary service and maintenance to Trane Technologies customers in a defined market. You will commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in a commercial environment. You will utilize your knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts to perform your tasks.

  • Coordinate with team leaders and customers to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs.
  • Represent the company as the direct customer contact and ensure customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems.
  • Use cutting-edge software and technology to diagnose and repair units, following blueprints or engineering specifications.
  • Display team effort and dedication to customers by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company assets.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Red Seal IP in Refrigeration.
  • Experience with low-pressure chillers, screw chillers, air-cooled chillers, and unitary rooftop equipment.
  • Gas B ticket (prefer A).
  • RE FSR.
  • Controls experience is an asset.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, and typically 5+ years of experience in HVAC.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations.

Working Conditions:

  • Must have the ability to travel and work out of town.
  • This position requires working in diverse conditions, including mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock.
  • This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling.
