Buy Low Foods is looking for a Cashier (Front End Clerk) to join our team in Vernon, BC. This part-time role reports to the Store Manager.



Responsibilities:

  • Provide fast and friendly customer service
  • Handle cash transactions
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed
  • Stock and organize shelves

Operate the cash register efficiently and follow cash-out procedures. Maintain a clean and hygienic environment for all customers. Willingness to take on additional tasks as required.



Requirements:

  • Prior experience in retail or customer service, preferably in a grocery setting
  • Basic math skills are essential
  • Previous Lotto or food safety certification is a bonus
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Flexible availability for various shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to work in different departments
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Follow company policies diligently
  • Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing
