Job Overview

Reports to: Service Manager, Hard Rock Distribution
Shift: 5x2, 8 hours per day
Location: Sudbury, ON
Relocation: This position may be eligible for relocation.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain, repair, and service underground mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to identify and resolve issues.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective equipment parts and components at customer locations to minimize downtime.
  • Build strong working relationships with relevant co-workers to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Participate in and be committed to a strong safety culture to achieve Komatsu's organizational Safety, Health, and Environmental goals.
  • Comply with Komatsu company policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician, Red Seal Certification is ideal.
  • Ability to travel and work overtime as needed to meet customer demands.
  • Previous experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems is essential.
  • Detail-oriented and have a high level of accuracy to ensure quality workmanship.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Qualified candidates will have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated.
  • Experience in previous field service environments is an asset.
  • Able to demonstrate aptitude for problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office applications to manage tasks and communicate with colleagues.
  • Ability to work shift work from time to time to meet customer needs.
