The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is a key player in the beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis industries in British Columbia. As a branch of government, the LDB is responsible for the wholesale distribution of liquor and cannabis, and operates the retail brands BCLIQUOR and BC Cannabis Stores.

About the RoleThe Executive Director, Corporate Services provides executive leadership to a team responsible for a range of services related to supporting the execution and sustainment of the organization's corporate goals. This includes policy development and implementation, communications and stakeholder relations, privacy and information management, sourcing and vendor performance, corporate strategy and planning, business analysis, corporate social responsibility, and enterprise project management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Policy, Corporate Communications and Stakeholder Relations, Corporate Privacy and Information, Sourcing and Vendor Performance, Strategy & Business Transformation, Social Impact & Environmental Sustainability, and Enterprise Project Management Office departments.
- Develop and implement corporate strategic plan objectives and department business plan objectives.
- Organize, develop, direct, and manage the performance of CS staff to meet operational business requirements effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure alignment with corporate, cannabis, liquor wholesale, and liquor retail business goals.
- Master's degree or post-secondary degree in public administration, business administration, communications, public policy, law, or a related field.
- 10 years of recent, related progressive senior leadership experience, including leading, supporting, and developing direct and indirect reports, consulting with and guiding executives, leading large organizational communications, and working in a multifaceted organization.
- Experience working in a regulated industry and engaging with senior government partners.
- Experience working in a senior capacity in a government organization or crown corporation, making decisions with a clear understanding of government practice and relations.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: leading corporate project investment, policies, processes, and methods; working in strategy and planning; providing direction, reviewing, and approving policies for regulatory purposes; and experience in procurement and contract management.
