About the Role:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and cases for the Telesat Lightspeed System Model across various software environments.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure test strategies align with software requirements.
  • Build and maintain automated testing frameworks using tools like GitLab and Git Runners.
  • Conduct different types of testing to ensure code quality and identify defects for resolution.
  • Analyze test results, work with developers to troubleshoot issues, and enhance testing processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to software testing and automation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in software testing and development.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, C/C++, and other relevant technologies.
  • Knowledge of GitLab, Linux environments, and agile development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Effective communicator with management, engineering teams, and partners.
  • Experience in system design and implementation considerations.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and interest in complex technology.
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral (French is a plus).

  • Linux Cluster High-Performance Computing (HPC) setup.

  • Issue recommendations and influence software design and testing environment for the Lightspeed System Model.
