You'll be responsible for:

Collaborating and providing support to the health and safety and environment leads within the transformation and OnCorr support HSW teams of MCS and to support and assure the delivery of HSW initiatives.
Assisting the MCS head of health, safety and wellbeing on HSW matters including participating in meetings, workshops, and team-building events.
Liasing with MX Owner disciplines (e.g., CPG Safety) and gather information from the company, document experiences/learnings and participating in on-the-job training wherever possible.
Attending meetings within the transformation and OnCorr teams.
Preparing and drafting reports, statistical analyses, templates and research to support the HSW leads.
Completing fieldwork or visiting different sites where required.
Providing administrative, logistical and organizational support to all program teams as necessary.
Working with respective functional managers to assist of risk profile and strategies for mitigation.
Evaluating existing systems and offering new ideas for improvement and when required, produce reports and input data.

You'll need to have:

Health and safety related degree (postgraduate) or equivalent.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to share a clear vision and inspire others.
Positive attitude and enthusiasm.
Integrity.
Competence.
Cool, calm disposition.
Problem-solving skills.
Time management and task prioritization skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Teams, and strong skills in utilizing other technological tools.
Ability to work well in a team as well as the ability to work independently on varied tasks.
Initial knowledge of OHS policies, standards, legislation, and procedures.
Basic understanding of the regional political, economic, social and security context.

You'll also have:

Previous work experience is not necessary but may be advantageous.
