The Opportunity

Use Autodesk (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and Bentley (MicroStation, Power InRoads) software to design and detail sites, roads, drainage systems, utilities as well as site grading and earthworks.Use Hydraulic modeling tools such as InfoWorks, Hydraflow, PCSWMM and EPANET to analyze and design stormwater, sanitary and potable water systems.Research and apply codes, specifications, and standards for design of the above elements.Coordinate with other disciplines to apply skills in delivering sustainable outcomes.Apply understanding of all phases of the planning, design, and construction process. Research requirements of regulatory environment for gaining approval at different stages of project delivery.Engage with project stakeholders and clients to develop designs that meets needs and concerns.Support development of technical documentation including reports, presentations, memos, calculation packages, and specifications.

Qualifications

Completing bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or relevant engineering degree.Sound knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals.Experience with CAD software.Professional demeanor.Good communication skills essential for team-based working.Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment.Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment. Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment.Must be highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.Interest in Transportation Infrastructure projects.Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future to be considered for this role.

Preferred

Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.FE / EIT Certification or obtaining.Proficient with civil engineering design and analysis tools for roads, rail and/or water systems.Fluency in 3D CAD software.Evidence of past internship or extracurricular activity in the field.Proven ability to perform in a deadline driven environment.History of technical presentations and technical writing.Evidence of personal investment in academic or extracurricular field.

The good faith base salary hiring range for this job performed in Toronto is $ $32.00 per hour. Benefits are not included in the base salary range. Summary of benefits are included in this posting with details provided to applicants at the time of interview. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Toronto will differ.
