Are you CPA with 5 years of experience in an accounting environment?


We are looking for a Financial Analyst to support our client, a leading Canadian Telecommunications company, in their Mississauga office (Hybrid: 3 days in-person).

In this role you will work full time hours on a 12 month assignment, and earn a rate of $54.65 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • The individual will be responsible for validating current financial data, recommending and ensuring that costs are coded and allocated to the correct place, variance analysis and developing trends, processing invoices and making recommendations to drive financial improvements
  • Responsible for the coordination, preparing and delivery of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Responsible for the preparation of journal entries and maintenance of accounting records.
  • Assist with the coordination of month end close activity.
  • Responsible for the timely completion of complex account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Prepare operating expense variance analysis. Maintain appropriate controls for financial reporting.
Qualifications

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in either accounting/finance, business/commerce and/or previous financial reporting experience
  • Accounting designation (CGA, CA, CMA) with 5 years experience in an accounting environment
  • Must HaveFinancial analysis experience (cost allocation, trends, variance analysis, reporting), working with large volumes of data, uncovering and recommending cost savings

Technical skills:

  • Strong proficiency in MS applications including Excel, Powerpoint, Word
