Looking for Installers and Service technicians for busy year round company in the Penetanguishene area.

Primary responsibility includes installing, maintaining, repairing and overhauling residential central air conditioning systems, commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems and combined heating, ventilation and cooling systems.

Skills and Requirements:
Completion of secondary school is required.
Completion of a three- to five-year apprenticeship program
Gas Fitter 3 license is required.
Gas Fitter 2 license is an asset.
Clean drivers abstract
Excellent written and verbal skills

Scope of work:

Installations:
Commission unit and check, safeties and limits, gas pressure, temperature rise and adjust fan speed, condensate pump operation.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings or other specifications when required.
Measure and Client out reference points for installation.

Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and compressors using hand and power tools.

Measure and cut piping, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.
Install, troubleshoot and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, and refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices.
Recharge system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate system and perform routine maintenance or servicing.
Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems.
May prepare work estimates for clients.

Customer Service:
Greet customer prior to starting job.
Respond to customer inquiries and/or concerns.
Prepare and deliver billing to customer upon completion of job.
Advise customer of system operation, service requirements, warranties, filters, thermostat operation, etc.

Supervisory:
Delegate work to helper/installer. The helper should be taking on tasks to complete the job quickly. Advise management if the helper does not progress day to day.

Each team to work together in a professional manner and figure out which task they will be doing at the beginning of each job.

Initial daily timesheets of helper.
Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions and discipline to management.
Ensure that standards for safe working conditions are observed and followed.
Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity.
Train helper as required.

After Hours Service:
Respond to all after hour calls that come in.
Explain to the customer the work performed and if applicable reason for follow-up visit.
Bill the customer for work performed prior to leaving and obtain payment.

Should the customer not be able to pay, have them sign the invoice and advise of payment options (cash, cheque, visa) and were the office is located.

Leave the customer with a business card and put a sticker on cold air return (If customer has furnace changed it will still be there)
