Ralmax Contracting has an exciting and immediate opening for a Project Manager in Victoria. Reporting to the General Manager, the Project Manager would be responsible for coordinating, managing, and execution of projects between estimates.

Responsibilities:

  • Organizing and executing projects from acceptance to delivery
  • Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for execution of projects
  • Managing changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Exceed customers' expectations managing relationships to assure continuing customer satisfaction and profitable project closure
  • Resolving issues on a day-to-day basis with customers, owners, authorities, and other interested parties
  • Generate accurate progress draws utilizing input from field crews and the Superintendent
  • Performing take-offs for material orders
  • Coordinating with sub-contractors for scheduling, progress draws, and invoicing
  • Lead, promote and monitor Occupational Health and Safety culture within the organization
  • Mentoring others in a dynamic team environment
  • Other duties as assigned


Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Civil Contracting as a Project Manager
  • Must be familiar with industry jargon, specifications, materials, and the ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Must be familiar with production rates, heavy equipment, and the general work process for civil excavation, earthworks, underground utilities, and roadworks
  • Bachelor of Engineering, Certificate in Engineering Technologies, or equivalent, an asset
  • PMP Certification, an asset
  • CCA Gold Seal, an asset

  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Proven positive interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project
  • Previous experience with Explorer Contract Manager, an asset

Requirements:

  • Must have a current and valid class 5 driver's license
  • Travel to off-site locations is required
  • Work both indoors and outdoors
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
