We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced actuarial leader to join our team as a Senior Consultant in our Canada Wealth Solutions Practice. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with clients in managing their retirement plans and make a significant impact on their financial well-being.
About the Role- Lead client relationships for small to medium-sized accounts, providing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support senior leaders on large clients.
- Understand all projects involved with a client and ensure all needs are being met and proceeding on schedule.
- Work on larger, more complex projects with less oversight, taking responsibility for results, including explanations, presentations, and impact.
- Mastery of technical concepts and ability to make reasonable interpretations of how they impact clients.
- Develop and participate in effective oral presentations for existing or prospective clients, individually or in concert with team members.
- Participate in business development activities and proactively initiate and lead discussions internally and externally.
- Coordinate resources on different projects to achieve client results and collaborate with other experienced team members.
- Display confidence, passion, and leadership, and demonstrate self-motivation and a desire to continue learning and growing.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor less experienced colleagues.
This is a unique opportunity to work with a broad and diverse array of clients in both the public and private sectors, collaborating with teams of colleagues to deliver retirement services. You will also assist in marketing activities, develop new service offerings, and expand your skills through continued learning.
Requirements- 7+ years of experience in pension plan consulting or a related field.
- English written and spoken.
- Organization skills, rigour, and thoroughness.
- Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- A Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or an equivalent degree.
- Fully qualified actuary (FSA/FCIA) desired.
