Senior Cost Consultant sought for a dynamic and innovative team, delivering transformational programs in the real estate, infrastructure, and natural resources sectors.

As a Senior Cost Consultant, you will be responsible for preparing construction cost estimates, managing estimating and cost planning activities, and ensuring effective cost analysis and valuation work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing construction cost estimate reports at all stages of design
  • Managing estimating and cost planning activities, including presenting the final cost plan/estimate
  • Applying Value Management techniques and post-contract cost management
  • Ensuring effective cost analysis, cost checking, and valuation work
  • Participating in Value engineering, LEED analysis, and Life Cycle costing
  • Leading a cost management team and interfacing with clients and other consultants
  • Managing commissions and participating in project and financial management responsibilities

Additional responsibilities at Senior Consultant level include:

  • Business Development: Identifying potential opportunities and collaborating with senior management
  • Staff management: Contributing to performance reviews and recruitment processes
  • Knowledge management: Ensuring key information and learning are documented and shared

Qualifications:

  • 7 years' experience delivering pre-construction and post-contract construction cost services
  • Recognized University Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Membership of relevant professional organizations
  • Reliability clearance with the Government of Canada (asset)
  • Knowledge of and experience using CostX (asset)
