Amsted Automotive Group, a leading manufacturer of efficient torque management systems and advanced net formed solutions, is seeking a skilled Journeyman Millwright to join their team in London, Ontario.
About the Role
As a Journeyman Millwright, you will be responsible for the repair, adjustment, maintenance, and installation of various types of production equipment. You will work closely with the team to ensure the smooth operation of the plant and facility equipment, including presses, CNC machines, lathes, and overhead cranes.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair, adjust, maintain, and install production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
- Conduct troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on plant and facility equipment
- Install, maintain, and repair office and plant fixtures and equipment
- Conduct work in accordance with handbook, trade, and training standards
- Participate in team activities and perform duties safely and efficiently
- Maintain tracking data for plant equipment and complete work assignments with accuracy
- Participate in company programs, including 5S, Elimination of Waste, and training
- Create and update training matrices for team members
- Promote company operational visions, values, and goals
- Conduct work activities in a manner that supports team effort
Requirements
- Journeyman status
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems
- Knowledge of stamping presses and related machinery
- Knowledge of Mig/Arc welding and cutting torches
- Minimum 3 years field experience in an industrial environment
- Forklift, manlift, and tool shop equipment operation
- Working knowledge of ISO/TS16949, ISO14001, and Q1 compliance criteria
- Fabrication of items to support equipment uptime and facilities maintenance
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to adapt and maintain performance in a changing work environment
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
