Richardson Milling, a division of Richardson International, is the largest industrial oat miller in the world. With processing mills in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., we're proud to have the most extensive oat supply, thanks to strong relationships with oat growers.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Maintenance Supervisor at our Barrhead location. As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll be responsible for supervising maintenance and building services, focusing on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all site assets are maintained in good working condition and oversee all grounds maintenance.
- Monitor maintenance plans and programs to increase uptime and profitability, while providing necessary support for ongoing operations.
- Discuss work requirements and determine priorities with the Plant Manager.
- Assist with the development and implementation of plans to identify and select capital projects of financial or risk benefit to the facility.
- Document maintenance processes and provide reports as required.
- Supervise maintenance employees and participate in activities surrounding recruitment, performance management, scheduling, employee coaching, and mentoring.
- Manage equipment conditions and work practices to ensure safety standards are maintained in accordance with requirements and government regulations.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years' experience as a Maintenance Mechanic and/or Millwright/Electrician in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Previous leadership or lead experience is an asset.
- Other related or combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience in industrial maintenance, boilers, steam production, and HVAC systems.
- Trade journeyman certificate or an engineering degree or certificate is an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, planning, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Good analytical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
