Our team of professionals provides a variety of high-quality inpatient and outpatient services, including mental health and addictions. We believe in a diverse and inclusive work environment, where everyone can thrive.

The OSI Clinic provides specialized mental health assessment and treatment to clients and their families referred by Veterans Affairs Canada, RCMP, and the Department of National Defense. As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the Psychologist will deliver mental health assessment and treatment services to Veterans and their families.

The Psychologist will be required to:

  • Provide education to various stakeholders
  • Maintain contact with referring organizations
  • Utilize tele mental health and distance technologies
  • Work with the Canadian network of OSI clinics
  • Carry out OSI specific research
  • Work in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices

About You:

  • Recognized doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology
  • Registered or eligible for registration under the Psychologists Act of Nova Scotia
  • CPA/APA accredited internship/residency in clinical psychology
  • Clinical experience in anxiety and mood disorders, substance use disorders, and PTSD
  • Training in evidence-based therapies for PTSD, depression, and anxiety disorders
  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary service delivery model
  • Experience in a military or police services environment
  • Sensitivity to the unique needs of military/police services personnel
  • Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation principles and practices
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle

Hours:

  • Permanent, Full Time (100%) Position; 75 hours bi-weekly

Compensation:

  • $62.74 Hourly
  • Benefits package including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage
  • Defined benefit pension plan
