Join our team as a Radiation Therapist I at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan. This is a full-time temporary position with a one-year duration.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare, plan, and deliver accurate and precise ionizing radiation treatments to cancer patients according to the prescription of a Radiation Oncologist.
- Work closely with a team of Radiation Therapists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Radiation Therapy
- Certification for Basic Life Saver (BLS)-C
- Licensed with Saskatchewan Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (SAMRT)
- Membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Proficiency with a variety of computer systems and software applications.
- Ability to perform a range of Radiation Therapy methods and processes including treatment planning, simulation, and treatment.
- Moderate judgment and problem-solving skills to select the most appropriate action from a variety of alternatives.
- Ability to interpret detailed information and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Human relations skills to develop formal relationships of a therapeutic nature to assist others in achieving their short or long-term goals.
- Accuracy of fine motor movements required for operating treatment unit controls, tattooing patients, and data entry.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Métis people.
