Do you enjoy rides at the amusement park? The City of Burnaby is looking for Carousel Operators on an auxiliary basis to operate and monitor the 1912 vintage carousel located at Burnaby Village Museum. The carousel is a popular attraction amongst visitors and tourists alike. You will ensure that the ride is operated safely for guests and perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks. Carousel Operators provides a fun and safe experience for riders by assisting in mounting and dismounting the carousel, as well as performs related work as required.

Qualifications include up to high school graduation supplemented by customer service and other related experience. The ideal candidate has ride machinery or equipment related work experience, knowledge of safety regulations and emergency procedures and considerable experience working with the public. As Carousel Operators will be interacting on an ongoing basis with customers, we would love to see a strong customer service background in your application. The ability to perform routine cleaning tasks is required.

Pay Rate: $ % in lieu of benefits

Location: Burnaby Village Museum

Hours of Work: Shifts for this position vary and are based on our operational requirements. Typical shifts are 5.25 hours in length between the hours of 9:00AM and 4:30PM and can occur Tuesday through Sunday during our open seasons. Ideally your availability for this role will be weekdays, evenings and weekends. Our season at the Museum runs from May through August and from late November and into early January each year.
