Seeking an experienced ASD Consultant to provide regional planning, development, and delivery of ASD services within an interdisciplinary team.
Reporting to the Manager of Primary Health Care, the ASD Consultant is responsible for regional planning, development, organization and delivery of ASD services within the framework of the interdisciplinary team. The ASD consultant provides coaching, mentoring and guidance to Health Authority staff, ASD Support Workers, Educational Staff and Community Partners.
- A minimum of two years' experience working with the ASD population
A combination of applicable education/training & experience will be considered. Includes Psychologists, Speech Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapy. Registered/eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body. Preference will be given to human services professionals with a Masters degree. Valid Class 5 driver's license required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ASD services and be able to provide coaching, mentoring and guidance to Health Authority staff, ASD Support Workers, Educational Staff and Community Partners.
- Experience working with diverse populations and communities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
