This role is part of the Strategy & Change team at BMO Financial Group, a leading financial institution with a commitment to growth and innovation.

  • Oversee daily program-related activities, including data tracking, reporting, payment processing, and communication of referral activities.
  • Partner with leaders to advise on referral programs, address policy issues, and problem-solve escalations and payment inquiries.
  • Ensure Referral program alignment with policy and compliance through oversight and audit.
  • Manage and integrate data from multiple sources for analysis, insight, and recommendations.
  • Conduct independent analysis and assessment to resolve referrals inquiries, issues, and escalations.
  • Build relationships and collaborative resources across functional and operating groups to create value for stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track performance, addressing any issues and understanding program interdependencies.
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to assigned business/group and market leaders.
  • Influence and negotiate to achieve business objectives.
  • Employ systems to manage information and assist in the development of strategic plans related to program evolution and execution.
  • Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Break down strategic problems, analyze data, and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Investigate and problem-solve issues related to internal and external Referral Programs.
  • Work independently, handling routine and non-routine situations, and exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems.
  • Present and socialize program with various stakeholders.

Project Management, Change Management & Communications

  • Lead or provide guidance on the implementation, change plan, and sustainment of projects related to compensation, technology, and compliance.
  • Lead and/or represent the project in project team meetings, governance forums, and inter-department forums.
  • Determine business priorities and best sequence for execution.
  • Understand the business/group and facilitate communication with other program/project managers and stakeholders efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrate ownership and commitment by holding themselves accountable for the identification and resolution of project problems.
  • Ensure change management plans are developed, socialized, and consistently measured to deliver expected project benefits and adoption.
  • Understand project interdependencies and demonstrate critical thinking that proactively identifies project risks and establishes effective risk mitigation.

Other Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Bank risk, regulatory, and compliance controls.
  • Perform broader work or accountabilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Typically, between 5-7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Private Wealth operating deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive business experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of other LOBs (Commercial/Retail) HQ is an asset.
  • Project management experience - 3 to 6 years.
  • Technology skills include MS applications (advanced Excel, working knowledge of SQL, PowerPoint proficiency).
  • Able to apply project management methodologies or approaches and resolve project issues effectively.
  • Valid PMP designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is an asset.
  • Able to navigate challenging situations effectively.

Compensation

The salary for this role is $126,000.00 per year, with a comprehensive compensation package that includes performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks and rewards.
