This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience handling estate litigation cases. This role requires a strong understanding of estate disputes, including will contests, trust disputes, and probate issues. Responsibilities:

  • Estate Litigation: Manage and litigate a variety of estate disputes, including will contests, trust disputes, and probate issues.
  • Client Representation: Provide expert legal counsel and representation to clients in estate litigation matters.
  • Case Management: Handle all aspects of case management, from initial consultation through to resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court.
  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and provide clients with informed advice.
  • Document Drafting: Prepare and review legal documents related to estate litigation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing clear communication and exceptional service throughout the legal process.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to provide comprehensive legal support and achieve client objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in estate litigation.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
