Mariposa Dairy is seeking a Sanitation Crew Member to join its team in Lindsay, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment in accordance with HACCP guidelines.

We are a leading manufacturer of award-winning cheeses, committed to providing the highest quality products through the efforts of our skilled and valued team. Our organization operates in a dynamic business environment, with a focus on food safety and handling.

The Sanitation Crew Member will perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping and washing floors, emptying garbage cans, and wiping down packaging and shipping areas. The successful candidate will be able to work with little or no supervision, have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be a collaborative team player.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily cleaning of floors, drains, mixer, portioner, and packline
  • Following HACCP procedures for all cleaning
  • Rinsing, foaming, scrubbing, and rinsing all surfaces that the product touches in the mixing room
  • Daily wipe-down of packaging and shipping/receiving areas
  • Sweeping and washing all floors
  • Emptying garbage cans and recycling as required

Additional requirements include:

  • Flexibility of hours when necessary
  • Ability to work on statutory holidays and/or weekends
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Collaborative team player
  • Detail-oriented
  • Positive attitude towards change
  • Ability to follow SOP and complete forms accurately
  • Ability to work in a team environment
