Job Summary:

The Mold Assembler will be responsible for the assembly and disassembly of injection molds and components, as well as performing repairs and testing to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble and clean molds to evaluate necessary repairs
  • Troubleshoot components and document required repairs
  • Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy
  • Work to close tolerances on all assigned projects
  • Use hand and power tools to complete assembly and disassembly functions
  • Read and interpret diagrams and engineering drawings to accurately assemble components
  • Perform general housekeeping duties of the work area and shop floor

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a Mechanical discipline (not required but preferred)
  • 2-3 years of mechanical assembly experience
  • Ability to use measuring instruments
  • Knowledge of Plastic Injection Molds (preferred)
