Your Opportunity

We are seeking an Aviation Planner with the relevant experience and qualifications to join our Aviation Planning and Design team. The ideal candidate will be dynamic and motivated, with problem-solving and communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project manage airport planning projects
  • Perform desktop and airport site reviews, engage with clients and stakeholders in support of airport planning projects
  • Develop technical analysis for airfield/airspace, terminal and ground transportation facilities, including the utilization of simulation modeling
  • Prepare development/concept plans for airfield, terminal or ground transportation facilities
  • Support airport management and operations with systems integration (airside-terminal-landside)
  • Prepare written reports and deliverables for airport projects
  • Prepare and present concepts, final draft materials to airport authorities' Board of Directors and Airport Management level, key stakeholders, and the public as part of a project team
  • Support the Airport Infrastructure and Buildings teams with Pursuits and Business Development activities, as required

Qualifications

  • 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in airport planning or a related field
  • Familiarity with the aviation industry and ability to support new and existing client relations
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Project management skills and 5 years of progressive experience from aviation projects
  • Ability to balance multiple concurrent projects and tasks
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communications skills
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency with airside planning software, such as Aviplan
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with staff and client organizations

Education and Experience

  • University degree in a field that provides a strong foundation for aviation consulting, such as Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Aviation Management, or Aviation Operations
  • Knowledge of best practices, methods, and principles utilized in strategic planning, infrastructure and facilities planning, and operational research for airports
  • Experience using AutoCAD
  • Proficiency using Adobe and/or Bluebeam Revu
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and related tools, including statistical, spreadsheet, database, simulation modeling (CAST or Transoft Solutions Software), and spatial/graphical analysis applications
