Bureau Veritas Laboratories is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team of experts in the scientific field. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in advancing our technical knowledge and contributing to the delivery of innovative solutions to our clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform food analyses and prep-work on food samples.
- Ensure accuracy of results and data entry.
- Recognize and address routine and non-routine problems, consulting with supervisor as needed.
- Meet quality and turnaround time (TAT) specifications required by clients.
- Identify and communicate procedural non-conformances to Supervisor.
- Employ proper laboratory techniques to minimize risk of mislabelling, sample mix-up and cross contamination.
- Work within established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) protocols.
- Solid knowledge and adherence to all safety procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Chemical Technician Diploma.
- Two years' experience in Food Testing.
- Adherence to all safety procedures.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Dynamic, energetic, motivated, with a positive outlook and "can-do" attitude.
Work Schedule:
Tuesday to Friday, 12 noon to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
