Registered Nurse Class D

Horizon Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Class D to join our team in the Orthopedic Surgical CORE Clinic. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing orthopedic surgery.
Job Summary:This is an advanced practice role that requires a high level of autonomy and clinical expertise. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to plan, develop, and implement a surgical preoperative education and optimization program for patients awaiting orthopedic surgery.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive education, evaluation, and follow-up care to preoperative orthopedic surgery patients
- Promote surgical optimization and preventative health care practices
- Assist patients and families in adapting to required treatment and lifestyle changes
- Deliver care in an ambulatory outpatient setting, with potential for virtual healthcare solutions
- Current registration in good standing with the Association of Registered Nurses of New Brunswick and a current Nurse Practitioner license
- Minimum of five years recent clinical experience in primary care or adult acute care
- Demonstrated ability to function autonomously in an advanced practice role
- Strong abilities in collaboration, clinical reasoning, professional development, interpersonal effectiveness, conflict management, and teamwork
