**About the Role**

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of innovators and contribute to the development of groundbreaking technologies that capture CO2 directly from the air. As a Patent Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing IP strategies to support business growth and expansion
• Collaborating with inventors to distill complex problems into simple solutions
• Drafting and prosecuting patent applications
• Managing intellectual property assets and providing IP awareness and support
• Researching and analyzing IP landscapes and presenting results to senior management and external parties

**Key Responsibilities**

• Main interface with inventors for invention disclosure activities
• Drafting patent applications and reviewing office action responses
• Managing intellectual property assets and corresponding with external IP counsel
• Reviewing IP sensitive disclosure material and updating IP protocols
• Interdepartmental dissemination of technical information and technology licensing data
• Project management of internal and external projects relating to IP and technology

**Requirements**

• BASc/BEng degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of work experience in a mechanical or chemical field
• Expertise in patent drafting for filing in USA and Canada preferred
• Ability to distill complex problems into simple solutions and collaborate in a fast-paced environment

• Base salary for an Intermediate level role is $93,330 to $122,000 with additional bonus pay
