Job Summary
  • Assess, plan, implement, and monitor physiotherapy treatment to patients/residents
  • Delegate components of treatment to Assistants/Aides
  • Participate in development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical physiotherapy practice
Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical physiotherapy treatment, including assessment, problem identification, setting treatment goals, treatments, and reevaluation of patients/residents
  • Delegate components of treatment to Assistants/Aides by instructing, observing, and monitoring treatment provided
  • Promote awareness of good body mechanics to facility staff, patients/residents, and families
  • Maintain patient/resident records, clinical outcome measures, and statistical data in accordance with department, facility, and professional standards
  • Participate in interdisciplinary, departmental, and professional development to ensure awareness of current developments of evidence-based physiotherapy practice
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an approved program in Physiotherapy
  • Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC)
  • Eligible for membership in the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC)
