About the Opportunity
The Pharmacist will work with a team of health professionals to provide patient-centred care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy. This includes working on selected medical services, identifying and resolving drug-related problems, completing medication reconciliation, participating in interprofessional medical rounds, providing patient education, and making therapeutic recommendations to the medical team.
About You
- Graduation from an accredited university program in Pharmacy
- Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred
- Licensed to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia
- Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
- Permanent Full-time; 75 hours bi-weekly
- Shifts may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Compensation and Benefits
$53.24 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
