Personal Lines Customer Service Representative
We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative. This salaried position is ideal for someone who excels at providing exceptional service to clients.
This role involves working within a team of professionals, each assigned a portfolio of accounts, to provide full service to clients. The successful candidate will work closely with our producers, insuring partners, and assigned portfolio of clients to handle renewals, endorsements, assess risk exposures, provide recommendations for suitable insurance programs, guide clients through claims, prepare applications and proposals.
This is not your average customer service position. Our focus on customer service drives us to continually seek new and innovative ways to improve every aspect of our customers' experience. Our caring staff, combined with our technology offerings, provide our customers with the best of both worlds.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a brokerage setting, with a proven track record of providing excellence in customer service. They will use every customer interaction as an opportunity to learn more about their individual circumstances and provide thoughtful, appropriate insurance advice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing friendly and professional service to clients
- Responding to all incoming calls, emails, and faxes for the assigned book of business
- Managing all aspects of an assigned book of business
- Reviewing policy renewals, endorsements, and customer service on accounts through established workflows
- Processing new policy applications, renewals, endorsements, and follow-ups in an accurate and timely manner
- Reviewing renewals for adequacy of coverage, including quoting and remarketing when necessary
- Meeting assigned retention targets
Requirements:
- RIBO licensed
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Personal Lines CSR in a RIBO Licensed brokerage
- Conscientious, with a strong attention to detail and high level of organization and accuracy
- TAM or Agency Manager knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow-up on uncompleted tasks in a timely manner
- Working knowledge of company portals
- Able to work in a "paperless" environment
- Self-starter and team player
Education & Knowledge:
- RIBO license (active and in good standing) is required
- Computer proficiency with Word and Excel is required; experience with The Agency Manager (TAM) and/or EPIC, Compu-Quote, and broker portals would be considered an asset
