ID Fusion is looking to hire a Metis post-secondary student to join our team as an Management Assistant for a Summer position.. As an Management Trainee Intern, you will work closely with the CEO to provide management & administrative support, assist with projects, and coordinate various tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the organization. This is a work integrated learning opportunity to leverage your business and IT post-secondary training and gain valuable work experience with a growing and dynamic Indigenous IT company.

As an Management Trainee Intern, a typical day might include some of the following:

  • Assist in supporting the CEO and management team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing files
  • Arrange travel and accommodations
  • Event planning
  • Perform research supporting management special projects
  • Collate and distribute key documents and information to senior management
  • Collaborate with other teams to coordinate and execute projects
  • Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making processes
  • Participate in meetings and take minutes
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to connect with others across differences of culture, experience, identity etc.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and good attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
  • Proficient with MS Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Professional, punctual, and reliable.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and keep accurate and detailed records.
  • Students who are a good fit for this position are dynamic, approachable, knowledgeable, and open to learning about themselves and others. They will show high levels of emotional intelligence combined with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate organizational skills to carry out a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and organize time effectively.
  • Ability to present data in a variety of document and display formats.
  • Ability to use research methods to identify and verify information.
  • Ability to use social & digital media to effectively communicate or respond to others.

Eligibility Requirements

This opportunity is for Metis students who attended post-secondary school full-time during the current academic year and who are returning to school on a full-time basis in the upcoming academic year (part-time and distance education students do not qualify).
