About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse/Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a member of our Critical Care Department, you will provide excellent care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient-centered care to a diverse patient population in a critical care setting
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify priorities, and develop effective care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Respiratory Therapy
  • Current BCLS and ACLS certification
  • Completion of a Critical Care Certificate (for nurses)
  • Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience in an Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others

Work Schedule:

The successful candidate will work a rotation of 12-hour days and nights. Please note that schedules may change due to operational needs.

Compensation:

Band J: or OPCOM02: determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
