Purpose of the job

As an Electrical Technician, you will provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment. Provide coaching and guidance to other staff to heighten their abilities . A role model and a team player, who demonstrates organizational commitment and awareness. Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the safety, availability, and reliability of the Power supply and Distribution (PS&D)System including the power substation equipment, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), cabling, OCS, "Blue Light Stations" (BLS), and Tunnel Lighting Access to vehicles, tracks, spares, materials, tools, equipment, training, manuals, and procedures for the PS&D maintenance Recommending and implementing techniques and procedures that ensure maintenance to the PS&D System is conducted safely, reliably, efficiently Diagnosis and rectification of failures and emergency incidents within established guidelines The PDS technician supports a 7-day week rail operation, working rotating shifts, on a continuous seven-day cycle performing all technical work related to TPS maintenance Adherence to the Custodial, Preventative, and Rehabilitation Maintenance schedules Inspects, tests, and repairs internal distribution cables and electrical substation equipment Performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs on traction power voltage, monitoring systems, charging systems, circuit breakers, and other TPS components Troubleshoot, analyze and isolate malfunctions, inspect, test, modify and maintain traction power voltage, monitoring systems, charging systems, circuit breakers, and other TPS components Performs complex repair troubleshooting; safely using and maintaining hand and power tools and test equipment related to work
