The Float Nurse will travel regionally with the flexibility to work within a delegated model for patients on opioid agonist treatment in a clinic setup.The Float Nurse will serve as specialized coverage for staffing gaps within an assigned area.The Float Nurse will conduct regular on-site visits to aid, assist, and carry out essential medical procedures like blood tests, ECGs, and immunizations.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide professional services across multiple regional locations
- Operate professionally, ethically, and with integrity following the guidelines and standards of the Ontario College of Nurses- Dispense and administer medications as delegated by a licensed Physician- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate treatment plans- Perform ECG's, venipuncture, urine drug screening, and other medical procedures- Administer injections and ensure proper documentation- Communicate effectively with Physicians and provide comprehensive program information to patients- Manage scheduling, information entry, data, and document management- Maintain and ensure accuracy of patient information within Electronic Medical RecordsWHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Completion of a Diploma in Registered Practical Nursing
- Previous experience in addiction treatment or similar field
- Ability to travel with access to personal vehicle
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses in Ontario- Current First Aid and CPR Certification- Strong commitment to working with individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges- Proficiency in using Microsoft platform, particularly Outlook, Word, and ExcelABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
