Childcare Leader (Aux)

**Job Summary**

The City of Port Moody is seeking a motivated and caring Childcare Leader to join our recreational team. As an Auxiliary Childcare Leader, you will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare services to children aged 0-5 years, while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement engaging activities and learning experiences for children in areas such as arts, crafts, music, and free play
  • Supervise children aged 0-5 years and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
  • Assist with other programs and duties related to the preschool and children's area as required

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 plus a minimum of six months of related experience working with children aged 0-5 years in a childcare environment
  • Standard First Aid and CPR 'C' certification
  • Ability to apply sound judgment, discretion, and sensitivity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Working Conditions:

This is an auxiliary position working varied shifts Monday through Saturdays, between 8:30am and 1:30pm.
