Job Description

**Job Title:** Respiratory Therapist

**Location:** Cypress Regional Hospital

**Job Type:** Full-time regular

**Job Description:** Provides general and specialized respiratory treatments, diagnostic testing, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and other related duties.

Responsibilities
  • Provides respiratory treatments, diagnostic testing, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy
  • Works with patients to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Collaborates with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Conducts pulmonary function testing and other diagnostic procedures
Requirements
  • **Education:** Respiratory Therapy diploma (RT)
  • **Licenses:** Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • **Experience:** Experience in pulmonary function testing, critical care, and cardiac stress testing is an asset
  • **Competencies:** Basic computer skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills
  • **Knowledge and Abilities:** Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
  • HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria
  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
  • Registered/eligible with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapist (CSRT)
  • Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Respiratory Therapist (SCRT)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificate (ACLS) is an asset
