We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Itinerant Educational Assistant to join our team as a Communication Disorders Assistant K-12. This is a 10-month permanent position that requires a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of strategies and/or an action plan developed by team members in collaboration with school staff.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to provide educational support to students with social-emotional learning needs, speech and language delays, augmentative and alternative communication needs, Autism Spectrum disorders, and behavioral challenges.
  • Develop and provide professional development to a varied educational and clinical audience.
  • Collect data for therapeutic progress monitoring and provide input and feedback to the Speech Language Pathologist regarding set therapy goals.
Requirements:
  • Communicative Disorders Assistant Diploma.
  • Two years of related work experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Initiative, judgment, and discretion.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a variety of challenges.
  • Valid Driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of and experience in supporting elementary and high school students with social-emotional learning needs, speech and language delays, augmentative and alternative communication needs, Autism Spectrum disorders, and behavioral challenges.
  • Experience in developing materials and resources, modeling interventions and strategies, educational coaching, and current educational and augmentative and alternative communication technologies.
