Production Finance Role

Export Packers Company Limited is a multi-faceted, growth-oriented international food company based in Ontario, Canada, providing exceptional service and innovative solutions to its industry partners.

Responsibilities
  • Enter daily production data, sales orders, and invoices in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with the Production department to obtain required paperwork and documentation.
  • Reconcile daily production, including raw materials, labor, overhead, and finished goods.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual costs.
  • Track incoming raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and related cost data.
  • Maintain current product costs and review product costing standards.
  • Reconcile raw material inventory and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Support Operations management and Corporate office finance.
  • Coordinate with accounts payable between the plant and corporate office.
  • Reconcile intercompany billing and product transfers on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Assist with period-end close, including journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements and internal controls.
  • Assist in company audits and participate in ad hoc projects.
  • Create purchase orders and coordinate with operations and warehouse teams.
  • Process purchase invoices and coordinate with plant management and AP team.
Qualifications/Skills
  • 3+ years of financial experience in a manufacturing setting, with a proven track record in cost analysis and financial reporting.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize, manage, and complete multiple tasks.
  • Strong personal initiative and ability to work well with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of ASPE/GAAP.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and collaborating with various departments.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Post-secondary education in finance or accounting, working towards a CPA designation.
