About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse at Bruyère, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team delivering safe, effective, patient-centered, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care. Your primary function will be to assist patients and their loved ones to manage clinical conditions and transitions, and maximize their self-care, psychosocial, spiritual, communicative and interpretive abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care according to scope of practice and in accordance with Bruyère policies, procedures and standards
- Act as a resource for members of the care team
- Assist patients and their loved ones to manage clinical conditions and transitions
- Maximize patients' self-care, psychosocial, spiritual, communicative and interpretive abilities
Requirements:
- Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C certificate
- Motivated towards professional growth and development
- Superior communication, organizational, interpersonal skills
- Leadership, decision-making and conflict resolution skills
- Able to work within an interdisciplinary team
- Able to work under pressure and to adapt to change
- Intermediate computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Membership in Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)
- Fluent in French and English
