ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated and multitasked-oriented individual who is flexible and works well in a team environment to fill the position of Plumber. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the plumbing work required in the residential, commercial, and community facilities is managed and completed in a timely and professional manner. The incumbent must be able to interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient. This is a full-time position based on eighty (80) hours bi-weekly, located in Fort McKay, AB.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and other systemsInstall supports before the installation of pipes, equipment, and fixturesIdentify and locate leaksPerforming cutting, welding, and assembling of pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixturesA thorough inspection and testing of plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code complianceCollaboration with contractors, construction workers, and electricians to meet plumbing requirementsProvide a daily report of site conditions including work scope, force levels, and safety issuesOversee completion of punch-lists, close-out documentation, and demobilize the job site at the completion of a projectComplete other duties and projects as assignedKEY REQUIREMENTSGrade twelve (12) or equivalent is required Plumbing Journeyperson Certification is requiredKnowledge and strong understanding of plumbing codesCSTS and WHMIS; H2S Alive, Fall Arrest, Elevated Work Platform and other safety ticketsExperience working in a First Nations community including knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions and values is a definite assetAbility to speak, read and write Cree and/or Dene is considered an assetClean Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector is requiredValid class 5 Driver's License & Clean Driver's Abstract requiredWHY APPLY?
