Ontario Tech University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sessional Lecturer to join our team. As a Sessional Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to our students, utilizing a technology-enhanced learning approach.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, delivering, and grading all course material and assignments, as well as being available for consultation with students during and following completion of the course session.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to undergraduate students
  • Prepare and deliver course material and assignments
  • Grade student work and provide feedback
  • Be available for consultation with students during and following completion of the course session
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a Master's Degree or PhD in a relevant field of study, with a proven track record of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level.

Required Skills
  • Strong commitment to providing innovative and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Ability to manage large classes and diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in a relevant field of study
  • Specialist qualifications in an OBHR program
  • Experience teaching in an OBHR program
