About this opportunity:

Reporting to the Lead, SCM Service Center, the SSC Advisor will provide supply chain management related application and process support to all internal and external clients. The SSC Advisor will be responsible for liaising between the business facing teams and the Shared Services SSC teams. They will be accountable for understanding their business' asks as it pertains to the SSC, providing that feedback to the SSC, and working with the SSC to triage/prioritize to ensure critical tickets and issues are being addressed first. They will be responsible for helping the advisors on the business facing teams tackle payment issues via coordination with the SSC team.

What you'll do:

  • Build and sustain internal Cenovus client relationships with assigned business facing SCM teams (SCM client) and business unit(s).
  • Engage accounts payable, finance and corporate tax to support internal SCM client as required.
  • Support SCM client, SSC and assigned business unit(s) through timely responses to email and phone inquiries.
  • Engage in regular face to face interactions with SCM client and assigned business unit(s).
  • Assess the requirements of internal and external customers to determine possible solutions to business issues and recommend enhancement/development of business processes.
  • Participate in key P2P process efficiency and system enhancement projects as required by SCM Service Center (SSC).
  • Drive key P2P process efficiency and system enhancement projects as required by SCM client and/or assigned business unit(s).
  • Facilitate required action on process requests, error resolution or execution escalation from SCM client, SSC and assigned business unit(s). Including but not limited to: PR/PO approvals invoice submission, payment, rate validation, SAP access, and all Procure to Pay (P2P) inquiries.
  • Utilize the ServiceNow ticket management system to respond to inquiries, monitor tickets, and action response times to ensure resolution achieves defined metrics, undertaking appropriate escalation procedures when required.
  • Manage SAP Staging Table and workflow delays/issues impacting your SCM client and assigned business unit(s). Coordinating resolution, escalating to SSC PO Pool Lead as required.
  • Contribute to defining, agreeing and refining the roles and responsibilities and RACI for SCM Service Center.
  • Provide leadership, career coaching, compensation recommendations, recruiting and development for staff of 3-4 individual contributors.
  • Collaborate closely with other supply chain functions.
  • Provide support to SSC Managers as required.

Who you are:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Possess a high school diploma.
  • 3+ years' experience in field related business.
  • Excellent understanding of procure to pay SAP MM.
  • Be detailed oriented and accurate.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills to support large volumes.
  • Work independently
  • Post-Secondary education would be an asset.
  • Supply chain management experience would be an asset.
