We are seeking a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to provide person-centered care to diverse populations at Fellburn Care Centre in Burnaby, B.C.
The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to identify current or potential care concerns and strengths, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes. The successful candidate will provide direct nursing care, including wound care, dementia care, and palliative care, and develop care priorities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to identify current or potential care concerns and strengths
• Provides direct nursing care, including wound care, dementia care, and palliative care
• Develops care priorities in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Documents relevant observations, assessments, and interventions
• Communicates resident/client assessments and changes to Physicians, Resident/Client Care Coordinator, and the interdisciplinary team
• Acts as an advocate to protect and promote residents'/client's rights
• Participates in quality improvement activities and provides feedback on clinical pathways, protocols, and procedures
**Qualifications:**
• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing
• Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• One (1) year's recent, related gerontological nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Current Level 1 First Aid certificate
