We're seeking a talented and experienced Surveyor to join our team. As a Surveyor at Aecon Civil, you will play a critical role in coordinating and laying out various aspects of construction projects with a high level of accuracy. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will ensure that our projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and verify control networks
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
  • Coordinate and undertake planning and implementation of survey requirements to facilitate construction activities
  • Maintain accurate survey records, documentation, and stamped submittals
  • Provide layout at various stages of construction
  • Monitor, organize, and manage survey operations and personnel
  • Communicate effectively with clients in a professional manner
  • Manage as-built information and digital records

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering
  • Knowledge of survey practices and standards
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction surveying industry
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in office, data, surveying, and engineering-based software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of engineering design and survey methods
  • GPS and total station experience required
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Availability to travel to various project sites
  • Driver's license (Class G)
