About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Enhanced Care team in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, documenting, and directing resident needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences, and internal staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and planning resident care to meet individual needs
  • Providing leadership to health services staff and overseeing the provision of quality health services
  • Working with the existing management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance to policies and procedures
  • Administering and recording prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice
  • Maintaining accurate and complete documentation and reporting
  • Applying dressings and treatments according to physician's orders and policy
  • Assisting with supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other health care staff

About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Registration with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body
  • Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid CPR & First Aid Certification preferred
  • A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening
  • Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care
