Glazier Helper

Assist a Journeyman Glazier in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine glass and frame requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials, and move materials to work areas
- Assist with measuring and marking glass for cutting
- Remove and dispose of debris at installation sites
- Assist with assembly and dismantling of scaffolds, rigging and hoisting equipment
- Transport and position glass panes for installation
- Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products
- Bring materials to site for fabrication of metal frames
- Assist with installation of pre-cut mirrors and glass panels
- Assist with removal or repairs of serviced windows and glass supporting structures
Requirements:
- Punctual
- Attention to detail
- Able to lift and hold 100 lbs repeatedly
- Take direction from supervising journeyman
- Personable
- Able to work independently and part of a team
- Not afraid of heights
- Drivers licence is an asset
- Work in all weather conditions
- Out of town work is required in Saskatchewan
Benefits:
- Extended Medical and Dental after 6 months
- All out of town costs are covered by the employer with addition per diem of $65 per day
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Must be able to work at heights and in all weather conditions. Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
