Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety Program Development
- Develop and implement health and safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Training and Awareness
- Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Develop and implement awareness campaigns to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit incident reports to management and regulatory agencies.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate health and safety information to employees, management, and regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure health and safety is integrated into all aspects of the organization.
- Education and Experience
- Minimum high school graduation, plus an additional college Occupational Health and Safety diploma or a university degree in OHS.
- Greater than one year but less than or equal to two years of health and safety experience.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of legislative requirements of multiple jurisdictions as well as best practices.
- Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills to effectively train team members.
- Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail and keep accurate records to track training requirements and record incident details.
- Demonstrated computer software skills to produce documents, reports, and presentations as required.
